Handles and bars for gym cable machines

Cable machines work by attaching cables to weights that you then lift using a handle or bar attachment. Which attachment you use will influence which parts of the body you can exercise, and which muscles get worked.

Gym cable bars comes in a range of sizes and shapes. Lat pulldown bars tend to be long straight bars with angled ends to make gripping easier when performing pulldowns, whereas bicep and triceps bars tend to be shorter. For triceps exercises a rope handle is also a popular choice and allows exercises such as triceps pushdowns and extensions.
